The 2020 edition of the World Economic Forum ended on Friday, January 24, and the tone was of moderation, whether on the perspective of economic growth or advancing the environmental agenda.
A march of young people, led by Greta Thunberg, took to the streets on the day of the week that marks the movement “students on strike for the climate” around the world, but they kept the speech of urgency on stronger action for climate change.
The traditional final panel, which brings together the world’s largest financial authorities, concluded that there will be progress, but we are in an ambience of risks for the growth of the economy, and, although the environmental theme was present in the discussions, it was not clear how there will be an effort by economists to integrate it into the economic agenda.

This edition will be marked by the nickname “Green” given to Davos and I hope he really “catches” reflecting a greater commitment to sustainability.
